WG5 Training & Education (T & E)
Biometric technologies are continuously being updated from basic research and the industrial exploitation and public deployment. Research has shown (e.g. by BioTesting Europe) that a better understanding and knowledge of biometrics at the end-client level results in a better definition of requirements and specifications. That will lead to a better alignment with industry and therefore better control on costs and functionality. This working group will be targeted at academic education, end user training & skills-updating and education of the citizen.
Topics include:
- development of European T&E programs
- application specific education programs
- awareness and engagement
- criteria for quality and content of T&E programs
- academic curricula
