On February 17th 2012 the European Biometrics Symposium takes place at the Square-Brussels Meeting Center. The European Biometrics Symposium is the concluding conference of the BEST Network (www.best-nw.eu) and the inaugural event of the European Association for Biometrics (www.eab.org).
 

This annual symposium on biometrics and identity management engages stakeholders from all European countries, including the European institutions and the European Parliament. It brings together a pan European network of national contacts points and platforms from governments, industry and academia, and provides a program that appeals to common needs. By featuring acknowledged speakers such as Peter Hustinx, Alexander Nouak, Farzin Deravi, Max Snijder, Paul de Hert, Emilio Mordini and Knut Ovregard the symposium will address matters that concern all those who are interested in staying ahead of European and international developments in biometrics and identity management.
