On February 17th 2012 the European Biometrics Symposium takes place at the Square-Brussels Meeting Center. The symposium is the concluding conference of the BEST Network (www.best-nw.eu) and the inaugural event of the European Association for Biometrics (www.eab.org).

A Call for Papers for BIOSIG 2011 in Darmstadt Germany which takes place on 8 & 9 September 2011 has been announced. The BEST Network is a co-operation partner of the event. The deadline for submissions of papers is 15 May 2011.

The 6th EBF Research Seminar on International Data Sharing took place on Thursday, the 4th of November 2010 in the Radisson Blu EU Hotel in Brussels. BEST Network supported the event and a presentation on the Network was given by Co-ordinator, Max Snijder.
